Singing on Urk

Once started as Mannenzang op Urk, a playful action to organize something for a charity foundation, has grown into a recurring evening. An evening in which psalms and spiritual songs are sung in the way people are used to sing on Urk. This is known all over the world, many choirs from Urk have already undertaken various international concert tours. Several CDs have been released of this men’s singing evening. Meanwhile, there are also plans ready to organize mixed congregational singing evenings and to put new life into the well-known Zang op Hemelvaart. A event where more than 1000 people come together to listen to choirs and sing together with the choirs.
